MEDICAL CHECK
Athletes must be present in a COMPETITION SINGLET and must submit to a skin disease screening prior to weigh-in. The chief medical officer has full authority without appeal in determining the eligibility of an athlete to compete.
WEIGH-INS FOR UWW Divisions
- All athletes must be present at weigh-ins. Day 1 Weigh-ins will be open for a 30 MINUTE PERIOD / Day 2 Weigh-ins will be open for a 15 MINUTE PERIOD. NO late weigh-ins will be accepted. Athletes must weigh in at the official weigh-in for that style.
- All wrestlers must be dressed in a COMPETITION UNIFORM for weigh-ins and no weight allowance is given for the singlet.
- Wrestlers must have a current USA Wrestling card to scan at the scale in order for officials to input the correct weight.
WEIGH-IN PROCEDURES: 14U & Below
- All athletes must be present at BEGINNING of weigh-ins.
- Wrestlers must have a current USA Wrestling card to scan at the scale in order for officials to input the correct weight.
- Wrestlers must have a competition singlet on when entering the weigh-in area and no weight allowance is given for the singlet..
- They must submit to a skin disease screening prior to weigh-in.
- The chief medical officer has full authority without appeal in determining the eligibility of an athlete to compete.
- Parents/coaches cannot accompany the wrestlers. They will not be allowed to carry additional clothing or anything other than the weigh-in card with them during weigh-ins.
- No Weight reduction practices in the weigh-in area shall be allowed once weigh-ins begin.
- Each athlete will be allowed two (2) consecutive attempts to make weight and may not leave the weigh-in area.
INJURIES
In the event of injury or illness, no contestant will be permitted to continue the competition without approval of the Chief Medical Officer, whose decision is final and not subject to appeal.
Registration & Weigh-in Procedures:
- A current USAW card needs to be shown at check-in.
- Wrestlers are required to weigh-in during their respected age/style specific scheduled time.
