FAQ – ParkMobile

What is ParkMobile?

ParkMobile is the Park Board’s official mobile parking payment system for Stewart Beach Park and R.A. Apffel Park (East Beach). It allows drivers to pay for their single-entry parking using a smartphone.

How do I pay for parking using ParkMobile?

1. Download the ParkMobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play

2. Create an account and add your vehicle license plate number and payment method

3. Enter the zone number shown on nearby parking signage

4. Verify your license plate information and confirm payment.

· You should receive an email or text message payment confirmation.

Do I need to display a receipt on my vehicle?

No. Parking sessions are verified electronically by license plate. No receipt or dashboard display is required.

Can I extend my parking session?

Extensions and/or re-entry are not permitted. If you remain parked until the next day, you must pay a second single entry fee. If you leave the park and come back, you will need to pay for a new session.

Can I pay for parking in advance?

You may pay for a session in the app prior to arriving at the park as long as it is the SAME DAY and after 6am. This is recommended if you may have trouble getting a cell phone signal on-site.

What payment methods are accepted?

ParkMobile accepts most major:

· Credit and debit cards

· Apple Pay and Google Pay (device dependent)

Is there an additional fee to use ParkMobile?

No additional fees will be charged. It is just the $15 parking fee.

What if I entered the wrong license plate or zone number?

Payments must be made with the correct license plate and zone number. Incorrect entries will result in a citation.

If you make a plate mistake, you must go through the appeals process whenever the citation is mailed to you.

What should I do if the ParkMobile app is not working?

If you experience technical difficulties:

· Check your mobile data or Wi-Fi connection

· Restart the app

I paid but still received a violation. What should I do?

If you received a violation before you paid for parking, please scan the QR code at the bottom of the violation to make a payment towards your parking. This will remove the violation from your license plate and void the violation.

Any non-payment violations that are not paid prior to leaving the beach parks, will receive a mailed notice containing a $45 non-payment fee.
