2024 State Team Folkstyle Tournament Schedule

Thursday, March 14
7:00 am – 8:00 am Weigh-Ins for all Elementary Division Teams. Note: All athletes must weigh-in wearing a competition singlet or compression shirt, competition shorts plus appropriate undergarments as per NFHS and MNUSAW  rules. (Weigh-ins for team are only for team tournament and do not qualify for individual tournament)

8:15 am Referee’s Meeting

8:00-8:30am Weigh-Ins for all Girls Division Teams. Note: All athletes must weigh-in wearing a competition singlet or compression shirt, competition shorts plus appropriate undergarments as per NFHS and MNUSAW  rules. (Weigh-ins for team are only for team tournament and do not qualify for individual tournament)

8:30am Table Worker Meeting

9:00 am Morning session begins Rounds 1-3 Elementary Division.

9:30am Girls Division session begins. 5 Rounds will be wrestled continuously with a short break between each round 

Break at the end of Elementary Division Round 3 for one hour. Break begins after the final match has been wrestled. Announcements will be made in house and on social media. 

Afternoon session begins after break. Wrestling will be continuous and will conclude with the finals matches. All rounds will start immediately upon conclusion of the previous round or as soon as the proper team pairings are established.

 

2024 State Individual Folkstyle Tournament Schedule

Friday, March 15
7:00 am – 8:00 am Weigh-Ins for all 6U (Pee-Wee) and 8U (Bantam) Note: All athletes must weigh-in wearing a competition singlet or compression shirt, competition shorts plus appropriate undergarments as per NFHS rules.

8:15 am Referee’s Meeting

8:15 Table Worker Check at head table.

8:30 am Session 1 Table Worker’s Meeting

Session 1: 6U (Pee-Wee) and 8U (Bantam) 9:00 am – wrestling all matches until placement matches.

12:00 - 1:00 Weigh in for all Girls competing in the Girls Division (girls competing in 6U and 8U coed age groups that weighed-in this morning do not need to re-weigh in) Any girls wrestling additionally in the boys division must weigh-in again during that division weigh-in time, the girls weigh-in only counts for the Girls Division session and will not be used for a subsequent sessions.

Note: All athletes must weigh-in wearing a competition singlet or compression shirt, competition shorts plus appropriate undergarments as per NFHS rules.

We will take a one hour break after the completion of the final match of Session 1. Break begins after the final match has been wrestled. Announcements will be made in house and on social media. 

 

Session 2: 15 minutes before finals start line up for Parade of Champions for all 6U (Pee-Wee) and 8U (Bantam) place winners in the exhibition hall. 

Session 2: Table Worker’s Check-In at Head Table 15 minutes before finals start

Session 2: Award presentation after parade of Champions and before finals start

Session 2: 6U (Pee-Wee) and 8U (Bantam) placement matches held in auditorium

Session 3: 5:00 pm Table Worker’s Check-In for Girl’s Session

Session 3: Girls 6U-16U: 5:30 pm – Completion of brackets

 

Saturday, March 16

7:00 am – 8:00 am Weigh-Ins for all 10U (Intermediates) and 12U (Novice) Note: All athletes must weigh-in wearing a competition singlet or compression shirt, competition shorts plus appropriate undergarments as per NFHS rules.

8:00 am Referee’s Meeting

7:45 am Session 4: Table Worker’s Check-In at Head Table

8:00 am Table Workers Meeting

Session 4: 10U (Intermediates) and 12U (Novice) 8:30 am – wrestle all matches until placement matches.

We will take a one hour break after the final match of Session 4 is completed. Break begins after the final match has been wrestled. Announcements will be made in house and on social media. 

 

Session 5: Table Worker’s Check-In at Head Table 15 minutes before finals start
