Individual Tournament Weight Classes

CO-ED - Qualifier Individual State Tournament

• This state tournament division is the culminating event from the (co-ed) MN/USA "Qualifier" Series of events, which included qualification across the events across Apple Valley, TCU, Lakeville, Andover, Flat Earth, White Bear Lake, St. Francis, Owatonna, Rogers, Forest Lake, Coon Rapids, Mustang Matness, Simley, Shakopee, Chisago Lakes, Anoka, Virginia, Waconia, Blaine, Canby, Kasson-Mantorville, Centennial, Cannon Falls and Perham (across November 2025-February 2026) PLUS the Regional Events (Waconia, Blaine, Brainerd, Forest Lake, Owatonna)
• The 6U & 8U will use scratch weights (at weigh-ins) grouping wrestlers within 5 lbs or 10% body weight starting from the lightest wrestler in the age group and moving up. Exception being heavy weights where USA Wrestling has defined weight classes that exceed the 10% rule.). Tournament officials will try to create 16-man brackets in these divisions.

CO-ED Division Weight Classes: The below age groups will use the following weight classes:

• 10U: 49, 52, 55, 58, 61, 64, 67, 70, 73, 76, 79, 94, 93, 105, 120, 140
• 12U: 58, 61, 64, 67, 70, 73, 76, 79, 82, 85, 88, 91, 94, 98, 108, 117, 135
• 14U: 75, 80, 84, 88, 92, 96, 100, 105, 110, 115, 120, 126, 132, 140, 155, 175, 225
• 16U: 88, 94, 100, 106, 113, 120, 126, 132, 138, 144, 150, 157, 165, 175, 190, 215, 285
• Seperation Criteria: Folkstyle PIN rating will be used for separation of each bracket up to 50% or a max of 12 with a 1005 being the lowest PIN rating used.

GIRLS Individual State Tournament Division: NOTE: There is no qualification for the Girls State Tournament.

• For all Girls divisions, Folkstyle PIN rating will be used for separation of each bracket up to 50% or a max of 12.
• All divisions will utilize straight line bracketing so that we are able to showcase the placement matches as identified in the schedule.
