Event Venue
AdventHealth Sports Park at BluhawkQ: Will you cancel the tournament if it snows?
A: No, we will not cancel the tournament just because of weather conditions. We would only cancel in the event of a major problem that effectively prevents the tournament from being held at all, such as, for example, if a blackout cuts all power to the venue and it can't be restored in time, or if all roads to the venue are closed by police for an extended period.
Q: Will I have to wait on line outside in the freezing cold during weigh-ins?
A: No, you won't. Everybody is welcome to come inside the venue while waiting for their wrestler to weigh in. There is no fee or wristband necessary to simply enter the buiilding.
Q: Is there a clear bag or bag search policy?
A: No, there is not a clear bag policy, and your bags will not be searched when you enter the venue.
Q: Can I bring outside food and drink into the venue?
A: Outside food and drink are not allowed in the venue. You are allowed to bring in water bottles for your wrestler, and nobody is going to search your bags or pockets for hidden snacks. But coolers, picnic baskets, and other containers full of food and drink are not allowed.
Q: Can I pay cash for admission, concessions, gear, and activities?
A: No, you cannot pay cash for anything sold by AdventHealth Sports Park at Bluhawk. It is a cashless facility. Please bring credit cards. However, our tournament workers (who are not part of the Bluhawk staff) will be accepting cash payments for early weigh-ins Friday afternoon, as well as for late weigh-ins Saturday morning (for individuals) and Sunday morning (for duals). So if you plan to weigh in early or late, please bring the $20 fee in cash.
Q: Is there free parking at AdventHealth Sports Park at Bluhawk?
A: There is plenty of free parking at the venue itself, as well as in the nearby shopping center.
Q: Do I need a coaches' wristband to access the event floor with my wrestler?
A: In order to go iniside the metal barriers to the inner mat area, you will need a coaches' wristband or a floor access wristband. Spectators with general admission wristbands will be able to go on the floor up to the metal barriers to watch the matches, but not inside.
Q: Will the event be livestreamed?
A: We have arranged for all matches at the KC Frontier Feud to be livestreamed on FloWrestling. However, we make no guarantees that the livestreaming, or the video recording in general will work for every match, or will work as intended in general.
Q: Is headgear required?
A: Yes, it is. As a USA Wrestling Kansas-sanctioned event, the KC Frontier Feud requires all wrestlers to wear headgear when competing.
Q: If I finish last in a 5-man round robin, will I get a 5th-place medal?
A: No, 5th and 6th place medals are awarded only in brackets with more than 8 wrestlers.

A: Yes, there is! With the explosive growth of girls wrestling, the numbers are there now for a 6U girls division, and we're pleased to offer one this year.
