GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
This event is open to all participants who meet the age group requirements (see the DIVISION tab) and who have the proper USA Wrestling membership (see below).


Athlete Membership
Wrestlers must enter their USA Wrestling Membership number when they register online. Wrestlers who do not have a valid USA Wrestling Membership number will not be allowed to register. If you have lost or forgotten your membership number, please contact svest@usawrestling.org

Wrestling Leader Membership
All coaches who wish to go inside the metal barriers to coach athletes matside must have a coaches' wristband, a current USA Wrestling Leader membership card, and photo ID. All USA Wrestling Leader membership cards MUST be attained prior to the event, due to the processing time required for mandatory background checks.

ROOKIE AND NOVICE ELIGIBILITY
To ensure fair competition, we follow these rules for the Rookie and Novice divisions:

Rookie Division (6U 1st Year Wrestlers):
Wrestlers in the Rookie Division cannot have either:
(1) held a USAW Athlete membership card prior to September 1, 2025 or
(2) competed in any wrestling tournament prior to September 1, 2025.

Novice Division (8U Novice & 10U Novice):
Wrestlers in the Novice division cannot have either
(1) competed in a wrestling tournament before January 10, 2024, or
(2) ever qualified to wrestle in any state championship wrestling tournament.

Protests and Enforcement

  • All eligibility protests must be submitted to the head table prior to the start of competition in a given session.
  • Claims must be substantiated with proof of age, prior competition, or other relevant criteria.
  • The Tournament Director's decision on any protests shall be final.
  • Any wrestler found to not meet the eligibility requirements of the Rookie or Novice division will be moved to the Open Division without notice.
  • No protests will be heard, and no changes will be made, conerning wrestlers competing in a particular session once competition in that session begins.
