RISE Sports ComplexYou must wrestle your grade and may not “wrestle up” in either weight OR age nor wrestle in two grades/weight classes. No wrestler may compete in a Jr .High Division more than once in their career.
Only two coaches in a corner (wristbands required).
Folkstyle mat rules, double elimination system, no rematches.
Headgear required. Singlets or two piece uniforms suggested, but not required. There is no seeding. Wrestlers from the same school/area will be separated as best we can.
The winner and his/her coach is responsible for checking bout sheet and signing it before leaving the mat area.
1. Will you be dropping tenths at weigh-ins?
A. No. Wrestlers must make the weight they are registered for. Wrestlers may attempt to weigh-in on all scales available, AND wrestlers may make multiple attempts to make weight as long as weigh-ins remain open.
2. What is required to Coach at this Event?
To Coach at this event you must have a valid USA Leaders Membership These must be completed in advance and can be obtained through www.usawmembership.com NEW THIS YEAR- COACHES MEMBERSHIPS ARE BEING PROVIDED FREE THROUGH THIS EVENT, BUT YOU MUST COMPLETE THE SAFESPORT AND BACKGROUND SCREENINGS
Wrestling Leader Memberships WILL REQUIRE 5-10 DAYS TO COMPLETE, INCLUDING BACKGROUND CHECK AND SAFESPORT CERTIFICATION, SO PLEASE OBTAIN THESE CREDENTIALS IN A TIMELY MANNER.
3. Is outside food allowed?
A. No. Athletes may pack waters and snacks, but outside food such as sandwiches, coolers, etc. is not permitted.
