Rules

All athletes who are U.S. citizens, meet the Senior age group requirements and have fulfilled the existing qualifying procedures are eligible to participate at the 2022 Bill Farrell Memorial.   

CANADIAN CITIZENS CAN COMPETE BUT MUST PURCHASE USA WRESTLING MEMBERSHIP.

The current rules of UWW will govern the event and the competition (except bracketing procedures). This event will use the new UWW rules. Tech falls will be a difference of 10 points for freestyle and 8 points for Greco. Video Review will be conducted for all matches.

Bracketing: 

Brackets with five (5) or less will use the nordic system (everyone wrestles everyone). 
Brackets with six (6) or more will use Line Bracketing.

For all divisions, the current rules of UWW, with USA Wrestling modifications where applicable, will govern the event and the competition. PLEASE NOTE: Wrestlers from the same club must use the same club name or abbreviation during registration in order to insure proper calculation of team points. There will be a blind computer draw after the initial weigh-in. A standard, seeded, double-elimination line bracket, with consolation wrestle-backs to 3rd will be used.THERE WILL BE NO CLUB SEPARATION.
