BRACKETING GUIDELINES:

  • Double-elimination line-bracketing with complete wrestle-backs to fourth (4th) place.
  • True 2nd Place matches- if 2nd Place and 3rd Place have not already wrestled in the bracket. 
  • Weight classes with five (5) or fewer wrestlers will wrestle in a Round Robin format.
  • 8U-12U Weights are subject to being combined by the Tournament Director.
  • Brackets will be seeded by PIN ratings.
  • BRACKET CORRECTIONS CAN BE MADE UP UNTIL 1 HOUR PRIOR TO THE START OF THE WRESTLING SESSION.  Please have your coach contact the tournament director at the head table with any bracketing issues (ie: wrestler missing from bracket or incorrect weight). Tournament Director has final say on any bracketing changes.

 

GENERAL TOURNAMENT RULES:

  • There will be no video review for 8U, 10U, & 12U matches.
  • 14U, 16U & Juniors will have video review.
  • Refer to 'Uniforms' Tab for additional rules.
  • There is a maximum of 2 coaches in the corner at all times.
  • Coaches who are not one of the two coaches seated in the corner cannot protest calls coming from another mat or off to the side of the mat.

Texas USA Wrestling is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all participants, including athletes, coaches, officials, and fans. All individuals attending or participating in USA Wrestling events are expected to uphold the highest standards of sportsmanship, integrity, and respect. The following standards apply to all coaches, spectators and athletes at Texas USA Wrestling events:

Texas USA Wrestling thanks you for adhering to the provisions of the Code of Conduct.

  • Coaches, spectators and athletes are entitled to enjoy the wrestling experience free from disruptive or inconsiderate behaviors or unruly actions.
  • Coaches and spectators may not interfere with the event and/or athletes in any manner.
  • Refrain from using abusive language or obscene gestures.
  • No use of tobacco, alcohol, vapes, or illegal drugs.
  • No theft, vandalism, or destruction of property.
  • Do not engage in fighting, throwing objects, or other behavior deemed detrimental to the experience of others. Individuals engaging in such actions will be immediately ejected from the event.
  • Comply with requests from venue staff and Texas USA Wrestling event staff, volunteers, and officials regarding venue operational and emergency procedures.
  • Coaches, spectators and athletes are encouraged to report inappropriate behavior to event or venue staff.
  • Violation of this Code of Conduct may result in ejection from the venue without refund and may include further disciplinary action.
