How to Qualify for the Folkstyle OPEN & Girls State Championship (a separate event):

• The 2026 Folkstyle Open & Girls State Championship is a separate event being held February 28th - March 1st, in Bryan, Texas.  Athletes must prequalify to attend Open/Girls State.   
• Ironman Qualification: Texas athletes who place Top 6 at any Texas Ironman Series tournament automatically qualify for the Folkstyle Open & Girls State Championship.  Lonestar Nationals is an Ironman Series Event.
• Last Chance Qualifiers:  Each region will also host a Regional Last Chance Qualifier on February 21, 2026. The Top 2 athletes in each division/class at these LCQ events will also qualify for the Folkstyle Open & Girls State Championship.
