ONLY UWW APPROVED COMPETITION UNIFORMS WILL BE ACCEPTED
United States Athletes -
- Per UWW regulations, ALL competitors are required to have UWW license.
- Wrestlers must purchase their UWW license in 2025 prior to the Bill Farrell International Open, please bring your personal UWW card or provide the list of athletes of your country at registration.
- UWW Licenses CANNOT be sold on-site.
- Wrestlers may also purchase a yearly license through USA Wrestling and it will only be valid until Dec 31, 2025.
- PLEASE NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO CLUB SEPARATION.
The tournament will be conducted under UWW Freestyle & Greco-Roman Wrestling Rules with modifications accepted by UWW.
Bracketing:
The tournament will be conducted under a MODIFIED double-elimination line-bracketing format. Athletes who lose to Semifinalist will be placed in a repechage bracket.
The repêchage bracket will wrestle for a single Bronze medal in each weight category. Semifinal losers will also be placed in the modified repechage.
- Brackets with five (5) or less will use the nordic system (everyone wrestles everyone).
- Brackets with six (6) or more will use Line Bracketing.
- PIn and separation of Foreign delagated will be done and reviewed by National Team Staff.
- For all divisions, the current rules of UWW, with USA Wrestling modifications where applicable, will govern the event and the competition.

- IN ORDER TO PURCHASE LICENSE WRESTLERS WILL HAVE TO PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING:
- 1) Annual medical certificate (Click HERE)
- 2) Digital headshot
- 3) Copy of U.S. Passport (NO EXCEPTIONS)
- 4) Credit Card Info. (Visa/Mastercard)
ENTRY: Athletes should register online. NO REFUNDS for failure to compete. Participants MUST present proof of current USA Wrestling Membership Card at registration and weigh-ins..
Weight adjustments can be done prior to weigh-in by using your USA Wrestling account.
- To update your Athlete’s registration Log into www.usawmembership.com
- Click Manage
- Select Registrations
- You should see all event registrations listed.
- Select the Tournament.
- Here you can change your athletes registered weight class and their Club team.
NO REGISTRATION BY MAIL WILL BE ACCEPTED! THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR FAILURE TO COMPETE!
International Athletes -
Athletes who reside outside the United States must contact their country's Wrestling Federation in order to compete at the 2025 Bill Farrell International Open.
The current rules of UWW will govern the event and the competition (except bracketing
USA Wrestling Code of Conduct for Event Attendees
USA Wrestling is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all participants, including athletes, coaches, officials, and fans. All individuals attending or participating in USA Wrestling events are expected to uphold the highest standards of sportsmanship, integrity, and respect.
The following standards apply to all coaches, spectators and athletes at USA Wrestling events:
- Coaches, spectators and athletes are entitled to enjoy the wrestling experience free from disruptive or inconsiderate behaviors or unruly actions.
- Coaches and spectators may not interfere with the event and/or athletes in any manner.
- Coaches, spectators and athletes shall refrain from using abusive language or obscene gestures.
- Coaches, spectators and athletes may not engage in fighting, throwing objects, or other behavior deemed detrimental to the experience of others. Individuals engaging in such actions will be immediately ejected from the event.
- Coaches, spectators and athletes are encouraged to report inappropriate behavior to event or venue staff.
- Coaches, spectators and athletes shall comply with requests from venue staff and USAW event staff regarding venue operational and emergency procedures.
- Violation of this Code of Conduct may result in ejection from the venue without refund and may include further disciplinary action.
