The 2023 Bill Farrell Memorial International, scheduled for November 17-18, 2023 is a prestigious wrestling competition hosted by the New York Athletic Club. This annual event, which has been a tradition for over 60 years, is sanctioned by the United World Wrestling (UWW), making it one of the most significant wrestling tournaments in North America. Competitors from around the world are expected to participate in this prestigious tournament, making it a must-watch event for wrestling enthusiasts. The Bill Farrell Memorial International provides a platform for elite wrestlers to demonstrate their talent and compete in the heart of New York City during the exciting month of November.

UWW Rules: 

Per UWW regulations, all competitors are required to have UWW license.  Wrestlers must purchase their UWW license in 2023 prior to the Bill Farrell International Open, please bring your personal UWW card or provide the list of athletes of your country at registration.  UWW Licenses CANNOT be sold on-site.

The competition features three categories: Men's Freestyle, Women's Freestyle, and Greco-Roman, providing an opportunity for senior-level athletes to showcase their skills and compete at the highest level.

Men's Freestyle division, there are six UWW weight categories with a +2 KG allowance:
57 KG, 65 KG, 74 KG, 86 KG, 97 KG, and 125 KG.
 

Greco-Roman, there are six UWW weight categories with a +2 KG allowance:
60 KG, 67 KG, 77 KG, 87 KG, 97 KG, and 130 KG.

Women's Freestyle, there are six UWW weight categories with a +2 KG allowance:
50 KG, 53 KG, 57 KG, 62 KG, 68 KG, and 76 KG.

NYAC Dress Code 

Men and Women must wear business casual attire. (Collared Shirt, No sneakers, No jeans). Athletes and Coaches must only use the athletic elevator or the stairs. Use the 58th St and 7th Ave Entrance - Go immediatley to the basement for the wrestling room and 6th Floor for competition. (It is important to abide by all rules and use designated athlete elevator ONLY) 

NYAC personnel reserves the right to not allow admission to anyone not meeting the above requirements, regardless of whether the individual is a participant or spectator. Therefore, we strongly suggest participants and coaches plan accordingly in order to participate.
