2023 USA Wrestling Senior World Team Trials Challenge Tournament
For all styles, the current rules of UWW, with USA Wrestling modifications where applicable, will govern the event and the competition.

All athletes who are U.S. citizens, meet the Senior age group requirements and have fulfilled the existing qualifying procedures are eligible to participate at the 2023 World Team Trials Challenge Tournament Click here for the 2023 qualification procedures.

Rules

The current rules of UWW will govern the event and the competition (except bracketing procedures). This event will use the new UWW rules. Tech falls will be a difference of 10 points for freestyle and 8 points for Greco. Video Review will be conducted for all matches.

** An injured athlete will have until one hour after the end of his/her first day of competition to announce his/her injury to the UWW Doctor.  For all the other type of injuries or diseases that happen out of competition, the concerned athlete will have to attend the second weigh-in otherwise he will be eliminated of the competition and the ranked last, without rank.

PLEASE NOTE: A standard, seeded, double-elimination line bracket, with consolation wrestle-backs.   THERE WILL BE NO CLUB SEPARATION.

SENIOR MEN'S FREESTYLE

- The Senior WTT will be line bracket, double-elimination
- The selection and seeding committee, as established by the Federation of Clubs, will seed  individuals in each weight category.
- The seeded athletes will be separated and placed into the appropriate bracketed slots. All other athletes will be randomly drawn into the remaining available slots. If there are any byes, they will be placed evenly and randomly in the brackets.

SENIOR WOMEN'S FREESTYLE

- The Senior WTT will be line bracket, double-elimination
- The seeding committee, as established by the Federation of Clubs, will seed individuals in each weight category. The seeded athletes will be separated and placed into the appropriate bracket slots.
- All other athletes will be randomly drawn into the remaining available slots. If there are any byes, they will be placed evenly and randomly in the brackets.

SENIOR MEN'S GRECO-ROMAN

- The Senior WTT will be line bracket, double-elimination
- The seeding committee, as established by the Federation of Clubs, will seed  individuals in each weight category. The seeded athletes will be separated and placed into the appropriate bracket slots.
- All other athletes will be randomly drawn into the remaining available slots. If there are any byes, they will be placed evenly and randomly in the brackets.

• All final separation will be determined by National Teams
• Seniors will wrestle two 3-minute periods as per UWW.
