2023 US Marine Corps Beach Wrestling National Championships Divisions: 

 

Following age-groups weight classes Champions determines U.S. age-group World Teams at the World Championships.

U17 (Male): (Born 2006-2008) - 50 kg, 60 kg, 70 kg, 80 kg

U17 (Female): (Born 2006-2008) - 40 kg, 60 kg, 70 kg 
 

U20 Freestyle (Male): Born 2003-2006 - 70 kg, 80 kg, 90 kg, +90 kg

U20 Freestyle (Female): Born 2003-2006 - 50 kg, 60 kg, 70 kg, +70 kg

Senior Men: (Born 2005 or Before) 70 kg, 80 kg, 90 kg, +90 kg

Senior Women: (Born 2005 or Before) 50 kg, 60 kg, 70 kg, +70 kg

 

 

Following age-groups weight classes to be determined after weigh-ins using the blocked weight system.


8U: (Born 2015-2016)

10U: (Born 2013-2014)

12U: (Born 2011-2012)

14U: (Born 2009-2010)

16U: (Born 2007-2008)

Junior*: (Born September 1, 2003 & after, plus enrolled in grades 9-12)

 

Masters:

Master A:  Born 1989-1998

Master B:  Born 1981-1988

Master C:  Born 1973-1980

Master D:  Born 1965-1972

Master E:  Born 1957-1964

Master F:  Born 1948-1956

 

*Medical certificate is required to compete in Master’s C, D, E, & F and must be turned in during weigh-ins. It must be filled out within 90 days of competition

International Athletes (including Canadians), are eligible in all age group divisions, excluding theU17, U20 and Senior age group divisions (Men and Women).



*JUNIOR DIVISION: Athletes shall be considered eligible to compete in Junior Division competitions if he/she is currently attending high school, or participating in a program considered by the State's Department of Education to be fulfilling the athlete's requirements for graduation from an accredited high school program, or if a summer event, attended high school, or participated in a program considered by the State's Department of Education to be fulfilling the athlete's requirements for graduation from an accredited high school program the Spring semester just prior to the summer event. In addition, the athlete has only four consecutive years to compete in the Junior Division once his/her class begins the ninth grade.
