ATHLETE ELIGIBILITY
All athletes who meet age group requirements, any existing state qualifying procedures, and are current members of USA Wrestling are eligible to participate. All athletes and coaches must present proof of current USA Wrestling Membership Card at registration. To purchase a USAW Wrestling Membership Card, please click HERE. Alternatively, Membership Cards can be acquired from the State Chairperson or State Membership Director of the contestant’s state of residence. Secondary sports accident insurance is provided as a benefit of membership.

Participation – Junior & 16U Nationals
State teams shall be limited to four (4) wrestlers per age per style per weight class. Wrestlers who earn automatic qualifier status shall not count against any limit.
Note: This proposal does not impact number of participants per state in the Girls divisions, as there are currently no limits for roster size.
Automatic Qualifier – Junior & 16U Nationals
The following shall serve as automatic qualifiers at Junior & 16U Nationals and shall not count against any roster limit:
14U Division is a Festival and is not a qualifier for Kids Nationals.
USA WRESTLING LEADER MEMBERSHIP
All coaches that wish to gain access to the competition floor to coach athletes must have a current USA Wrestling Leader Membership Card. All USA Wrestling Leader Membership Cards MUST be attained prior to the event, due to mandatory background checking. For a USA Wrestling Leader Membership Card Card, please click HERE. PLEASE ALLOW UP TO 30 DAYS FOR COMPLETION OF USAW LEADER MEMBERSHIP/BACKGROUND CHECK PROCESS.

Transgender Policy
USA Wrestling deems it necessary to ensure, insofar as possible, that transgender athletes are not excluded from the opportunity to participate in wrestling competitions. As such, USA Wrestling’s Gender Policy is based on the results and guidelines of the IOC actions.
