Dual Team Tournament - K-6th Boys Duals / K-8th Girls Duals - Information/Details

Format: Following the completion of the individual tournament, a boys & girls dual team tournament will take place (across both gyms) and feature a 4 team round robin format (up to 4 teams for Girls + 4 teams for Boys) with a max of 3 duals per team.

Boys Dual Team Weight Classes: 48, 52, 56, 60, 64, 68, 72, 77, 84, 92, 100, 110, 120, 135, 215

Girls Dual Team Weight Classes: 48, 53, 58, 63, 68, 73, 78, 83, 88, 93, 98, 105, 115, 125, 135, 185

Roster Eligibility / Memberships: 

• Boys Duals - Wrestlers who are in Pre-K through 6th grade are eligible to compete. There are 15 total weights, and each team is allowed to up to 20 wrestlers on their roster.
• Girls Duals - Wrestlers who are in Pre-K through 8th grade are eligible to compete. There are 16 total weights, and each team is allowed to up to 20 wrestlers on their roster.
• Wrestlers will need either to have their full year USAW Membership OR can acquire a single event membership and register through the individual tournament registration on usabracketing.com. 
• Teams may be formed by wrestlers across different clubs and do not have to be exclusive to that club/school as the goal of this event is to maximize preseason match opportunities.
• Coaches interested in registering a team should contact Tournament Director - Kristin Weidemann (kweidemann@mnusawrestling.org) and team invitation/registration instructions will be communicated. 

Registration & Team Formation Process:

• Cost will be $200 per team (payable via check to Bemidji Wrestling Club)
• FREE AGENTS - Any girl or boy interested in being a "free agent" to be placed on a team can register at a cost of $15/wrestler. 
• The deadline for initial team rosters will be due by 11/6 @ 8pm cst.

Team Tournament - Check/In & Weigh-In Process

Individual tournament participants will confirm their check-in for the team event as they enter the building. Remaining wrestlers if they did not participate in the individual tournament must check-in with the check-in table by 1:30 - 2:00pm to confirm final dual rosters for the event. Free agents will be communicated with by the Tournament Director on team assignment. Random weight audits will be completed for remaining wrestlers who did not compete in the individual event. Similar to the individual tournament, there will be a 3% allowance above registered / team weight class. The goal of this event is to get matches, but we still want to ensure an honor system is in place.

Dual / Team Tournament Schedule:

• Check-In & Weight Audits: 1:30 - 2:00pm 
• Dual Tournament Start / End Time: 3:00pm start (approximately following 30 minute break from end of individual tournament)
• Round 1: 3:00 - 4:00
• Round 2: 4:00 - 5:00
• Round 3: 5:00 - 6:00
