This event will include a camp for all 16U & Junior Boys/Girls. In addition, this camp will feature a wrestle off tournament (only at certain weight classes where the number of registrants is greater than the available roster spots at that age/style/weight class) for the final spots for the Fargo National Team.

2026 Boys' (16U/Junior) Fargo Qualification Process & Eligibility

To be eligible for the Fargo team and/or wrestle-off process, you must have competed in AT LEAST ONE of the following tournaments in 2026, even if you are an auto-qualifier. Participation in any of these tournaments makes the wrestler eligible for inclusion to the STMA Fargo Camp and Wrestle-off (if needed) for the age/style they competed in.

• MN/USA Wrestling State Tournament
• Northern Plains or any USA Regional Qualifier
• UWW World Team Trials 

Team Minnesota is allowed 4 wrestlers per weight, per style and per age groupo for Fargo rosters, NOT INCLUDING auto-qualifiers. See more about auto-qualification below.

2026 Girls' (16U/Junior) Fargo Qualification Process & Eligibility

To attend Fargo National Training Camp and Compete for Team Minnesota, there is no prerequisites to be on the team (this is different from the men's team). You will need a current USA Wrestling Membership and fall within the appropriate 16U or Junior age division and school requirements.  You also must pre-register. 

1. We are allowed 4 girls in each weight class, not including any girls who are Auto-Qualified. 
2. If you are Auto Qualified you will still need to register but you are guaranteed a spot on the team, and it does not count towards our 4 person per weight class limit!   Wrestling at regionals like Northern Plains is a great way to get auto-qualified.  For more information on Auto Qualification - See Below!

Auto-Qualifiers - Information / Requirements:

• What is an Auto-Qualifier? If you are an Auto Qualifier, you are automatically eligible for the 2026 Fargo Team, you are exempt from Wrestle-Offs and are allowed to register at whatever weight you desire for the particular style you qualified for Fargo.
• Auto-Qualifier Criteria: There are several opportunities to secure an auto-qualifier spot on the team (and be exempt from the 4 spots per age/weight/style) before camp starts and these auto spots do not go against MN’s roster limit (and are exempt from wrestle-offs).
  • Top 6 place winners at any Regional National like Northern Plains
  • Top 8 place winners at UWW U15 and U17
  • Returning Fargo All-Americans (top 8) from the previous year are also given an auto-qualifier spot.
  • 2026 MN/USA Freestyle/Greco State Champs are guaranteed 1 of the 4 roster spots at the same weight/style they wrestled and were champions at MN/USA FS/GR State Tournament (for boys). NOTE: There are slightly different rules for Girls MN/USA FS/GR State Champs.
• Auto qualifiers must still register by 6/23: NOTE: All auto-qualifiers must submit their competing weights (through registration) to the appropriate age group director before June 23rd so we know how many individuals are at each weight. All open spots at that point will be wrestled off for if needed on the June 27th wrestle off date. Failure to make a wrestle off on June 27th will mean you will miss out on your opportunity to compete in Fargo. 

STMA 6/27 Camp Wrestle-Off Tournament Details, Schedule & Rules:

More information will be shared following the 6/23 registration deadline for who have wrestle-offs. There will be weigh-ins and all wrestle-off participants must be within a 5.0 lb weight allowance above the registered weight. If you have a wrestle-off weight/style, this will be communicated. Wreslte-Offs will be required when there are more registrants at a age/style/weight class than available roster spots (excluding any auto-qualifiers). Wrestle=off brackets will be seeded/separated using pin ratings (FS pin for freestyle, GR pin for Greco).
