Qualification Procedures for State Championships and 16U and Junior National Teams

1. Qualification is required for the 14U GR/FS, 16U Men and Women GR/FS, Junior Men and Women GR/FS State Championships.   To qualify a wrestler MUST finish one of the Ohio Qualifier Tournaments or being part of a State Freestyle Dual team (there is a cap of 20 team members per team).  Contact Adam Gilmore  (614) 204-0726 regarding medical waivers. 14U, 16U and Juniors- in order for this qualifer to count towards your qualification for the State Tournament, you do not need to place in your bracket but you MUST COMPLETE your bracket. If you need to Medically Forfeit, your coach, medical staff on site and the tournament director must sign documentation of your release from the bracket in order for the qualifier to count towards the State Tournament. 
2. The 16U/Junior Greco-Roman and Freestyle State Championships, completing at a central regional, or the US Open will be used as qualifiers for the 16U and Junior Fargo National Teams – men and women.  See www.usawrestling-ohio.org under “National Teams” for more details on the selection process.
3. Qualification procedures for the Ohio 14U National Dual Meet Teams will be posted at www.usawrestling-ohio.org under “Dual Teams”.
