***THIS IS A DOUBLE POINTS & TAKE A SHOT ON MN/USA TOURANMENT***

Arrival: Doors open at 8:00am - Park in RA Parking lot across from the football field and follow signs into the RA Facility.

Membership/Eligibility: This is a Take A Shot on MN/USA Wrestling Tournament! You do not need to be a current MN/USA Wrestling member to participate! 

• For this particular event, for those without USAW athlete memberships...MN/USA Wrestling will be covering the cost of the Single Event License. So, you do NOT need to have a USAW athlete membership card to participate. All that is required is to create your USA (free) account and pay the registration fee (see below) to compete!
• All individuals with USAW athlete memberships are also welcome too, but it's not a requirement to participate for this event.

Format: Scratch weight. 4-man round-robin brackets when possible.

Weigh-Ins: Random Weight Audits will be done-please see weigh in tab for further information. Please check your wrestler in when they arrive at the event. You do not need to wait until their check in time.

Schedule: 

• 8:30am - 9:15am: Athlete check-in (in the PE Gym),
• 9:15am-10:00am: Warmup time for athletes. Brackets will be drawn and any changes made during this time.
• 10:00am: Wrestling Begins*

*Age groups/weight classes will be assigned to specific mats. As the tournament progresses, age groups and weights may be moved to other mats to ensure proper flow of the tournament. Please listen to all PA Announcments and check the brackets. 

Registration / Entry Cost: $20 Entry Fee (wrestlers) pre-registration only through USAbracketing.com. Deadline to register is 8pm on 1/10/26. Register here MN/USA SMSU Mustang Matness Folkstyle Qualifier. NOTE: MN/USA is covered the cost of the USAW Single Event Membership for ALL wrestlers who do not have a USAW Card/Membership. 

Divisions: 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U. This tournament features the qualifier division only where participants can accumulate points towards MN/USA Regional / State Tournaments. See Divisions for more information. 

Admissions: $7 General Admission. Children under 5 are FREE, as are coaches with a current 2025 USAW Leader Membership card.

Concessions: Available all day. Cash, check and card payments accepted.

Awards: 1st – 3rd place

IMPORTANT NOTE: If your wrestler pulls out of the tournament, please call or send an email to the tournament director - Chayse Jackson (chayse.jackson@smsu.edu / 541-430-5328) so we are not waiting for your wrestler to start the session.
