Coaches at Regionals & State - To coach matside, interact with the referees and scoretables at Regions or State, you must have the following steps/credentials completed AND purchase your coaching band for each event:

• Wrestling Leader membership (TO COACH) requires:1) Background check, 2) SafeSport Certification, 3) USAW Coaching Certification (1-time completion), Heads Up Concussion Training - HEADS UP Concussion in Youth Sports
• Background Check
  • Approved background screenings are valid for two (2) membership seasons (current season plus the next membership season)
  • Please allow at least 7 to 14 days for background check to be completed
• Required Safe Sport Certification
  • MUST BE COMPLETED EVERY YEAR 
  • Completed in the USA Membership system and the results are posted immediately after the course is completed.
• Required Coaching Certification (Copper or Higher)
  • You will need to have a current Wrestling Leader membership in order to purchase a Coach Certification course.
