Registration Information: All registration for the 2026 Regional and State MN/USA Tournaments will be done via usawmembership.com

• Registration will officially open for the Waconia Regional on 2/3 at 12pm (cst).
• Registration will close for the Waconia Regional on 2/14 at 8pm (cst), unless registration reaches the registration cap of 500 wrestlers before then.
• Cost of registration is $40 
• Refund policy reminder: Your USA Wrestling event purchase is non-refundable. Any cancellation that takes place after purchase will not be refunded. By completing this event purchase you understand that all purchases are non-refundable for whatever reason.

Weigh-In Information

• ***ALL WRESTLERS MUST HAVE MEMBERSHIP CARD AT WEIGH-INS! 
• See schedule below for weigh-in timing & the Weigh-Ins tab for all weigh-in rules. 
• The weight wrestlers make at weigh-ins and qualify Top 4 at that Regional, they are locked into that weight class for MN/USA State Tournament.
• Once wrestlers are qualified to MN/USA State, they cannot participate in any additional Regional Tournaments.
• Pro-Tip: Be sure to upload a picture image to your wrestler profile to print your card.

Divisions / Registration Criteria:

10U & 12U: A participant will need to accumulate 30 points from MN/USA Qualifying tournaments during the current season in order to qualify for inclusion in the Regional Tournaments. Once a participant qualifies for the State Tournament they are prohibited form participating in another Regional Tournament and the participant is only allowed to wrestle at the State Tournament at the weight class in which the wrestler qualified.  No weight changes are allowed at the State Tournament under any circumstances. 

14U: A participant does not need any points from MN/USA Qualifying tournaments during the current season in order to qualify for inclusion in the Regional Tournaments. Once a participant qualifies for the State Tournament they are prohibited from participating in another Regional Tournament and the participant is only allowed to wrestle at the State Tournament at the weight class in which the wrestler qualified.  No weight changes are allowed at the State Tournament under any circumstances. 

Qualification Criteria, Points List and other Qualification Reminders / Dependencies:

* If you are NOT able to register and believe you should be eligible, please take the following actions:

1. Have you purchased your 2026 USAW membership? All athletes who are looking to register for a MN/USA Regional must have a USAW membership. If you qualified using the Take A Shot / Single Event License, but you have not yet purchased a full year 2026 USAW membership, you must complete your 2026 membership to appear on the points list. The Points List will be refreshed weekly. 
2. Check the Qualified Points List on the mnusawrestling.com website here: MN/USA Accumulated Points.
   • The Qualified Points List will be refreshed following each remaining weekends of available Qualifier tournaments on the following Mondays: 2/2, 2/9, and 2/16**. 
   • Qualification points are an accumulation of points based results from each "Qualifier" division entry across the 2025-26 MN/USA Folkstyle events calendar. Each first place = 40 points, second place = 25 points, third place = 10 points. For "Double Points" events, the points double to 80 points 1st place, 50 points 2nd place and 20 points for 3rd place.
   • NOTE: The "points" listed in the results on USAbracketing are not related to qualification points, as they are default that relates to Team Scores.

**NOTE: The qualified wrestler list for the Waconia Regional will only include qualification results through the 2/8 weekend events. The qualified wrestler points list will be updated on Monday, 2/16 (following the final Qualifier at Perham). Kids accumulating their 30+ total points following Perham will be eligible to register for Blaine, Brainerd, Forest Lake or Owatonna.

Coaches Bands: New this year, at all MN/USA Regionals, every coach wishing to coach matside will be required to have USAW Leader Membertship, appropriate credentials (Cooper or higher certification, background check completed, safesport, and headsup concussion training) and purchase a coaches pass online here: Waconia MN/USA Coaches Band. Coaches who purchase coaching bands will be able to interact with tableworkers/referees at the Regional (and also State). Those NOT purchasing coaches bands will not be able to interact with referees/tableworkers.
