2025 Carolina Beach  National/ World Team Qualifier Divisions

Following age-groups weight classes Champions determines U.S. age-group World Teams at the World Championships. Top 3 in each age/weight category quallfy  World Team spots. Senior qualification is for upcoming Beach Wrestling World Series Events. Top finishers in the series will be crowned World Champions. U17 and U20 athletes will qualify for the world championship event in Katerini, Greece  September 21-22.

U17 (Male): (Born 2008-2010) - 50 kg, 60 kg, 70 kg, 80+ kg

U17 (Female): (Born 2008-2010) - 40 kg, 50kg, 60 kg, 70+ kg 
 

U20 Freestyle (Male): Born 2005-2008 - 70 kg, 80 kg, 90 kg, 90+ kg

U20 Freestyle (Female): Born 2005-2008 - 50 kg, 60 kg, 70 kg, 70+ kg

 

Senior Men: (Born 2007 or Before) 70 kg, 80 kg, 90 kg, 90+ kg

Senior Women: (Born 2007 or Before) 50 kg, 60 kg, 70 kg, 70+ kg

 

Following age-groups weight classes to be determined after weigh-ins using the blocked weight system.


8U: (Born 2017-2018)

10U: (Born 2015-2016)

12U: (Born 2013-2014)

14U: (Born 2011-2012)

16U: (Born 2009-2010)

Junior*: (Born September 1, 2005 & after, plus enrolled in grades 9-12)

 

Masters:

Master A:  Born 1991-2000

Master B:  Born 1983-1990

Master C:  Born 1975-1982

Master D:  Born 1967-1974

Master E:  Born 1959-1966

Master F:  Born 1950-1958

 

*Medical certificate is required to compete in Master’s C, D, E, & F and must be turned in during weigh-ins. It must be filled out within 90 days of competition

International Athletes (including Canadians), are eligible in all age group divisions, excluding the U17, U20 and Senior age group divisions (Men and Women).



*JUNIOR DIVISION: Athletes shall be considered eligible to compete in Junior Division competitions if he/she is currently attending high school, or participating in a program considered by the State's Department of Education to be fulfilling the athlete's requirements for graduation from an accredited high school program, or if a summer event, attended high school, or participated in a program considered by the State's Department of Education to be fulfilling the athlete's requirements for graduation from an accredited high school program the Spring semester just prior to the summer event. In addition, the athlete has only four consecutive years to compete in the Junior Division once his/her class begins the ninth grade.
