Updated Weigh-In Information as of 4/15/25

Madison Block Bracketing (Round Robin) – Weigh-In Procedures (6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, and all Girls K-2nd, 3rd-5th, 6th-8th) Madison Block Brackets will still be considered done by an Honor System. During Pre-Reg, there will be an “Actual Weight” field that will be required  for all registered participants. To keep everyone honest, we will be pulling 3-4 brackets at random prior to each session. Everyone in that bracket will weigh in by 30 minutes prior to the start of their session. Anyone who does not make weight will be scratched, or they can pay to register again in the correct bracket. Anyone who does not weigh in prior to the tournament start will be left in the bracket but will not be able to wrestle until weighed in. If the wrestler does not make weight, there will be no opportunity to re-bracket and the wrestler will be scratched. Weight Allowance 1lb under 100, 2lbs over 100. Again, these are done on the honor system so it is vital that COUSAW can put trust into our coaches and clubs to enter in an honest actual weight.

Full Bracketing – Weigh-In Procedures (14U, 16U, Junior Boys, HS Girls) All Full Bracket divisions require onsite weigh-ins. Wrestlers must weigh in at the designated time and location as outlined in the event schedule. For these divisions all weigh-ins must be done in person and onsite. Wrestlers must weigh in at or below the weight they are registered for.  If a wrestler does not make weight they will automatically be bumped up to the next weight class for no additional cost. Wrestlers must weigh in in competition attire (red or blue singlet) Weight Allowance: There will be no weight allowance (ex. 126 lbs must be ≤126.0 lbs) Wrestlers will have only one opportunity to weigh-in unless event-specific exceptions are communicated in advance. Weigh-ins must be completed no later than 30 minutes before the start of wrestling for that session. Wrestlers who do not weigh in on time will be scratched. To ensure integrity of bracketing, event staff may verify ID and age at weigh-in.  Please have your USA Wrestling Card available if requested.
