• ** True Beginners are 1st & 2nd year wrestlers. They will be Madison brackets based on actual weigh-in weights.  

8U Boys - Weight Classes: 40, 43, 45, 49, 53, 56, 62, 70, 85 lbs. 

8U Girls - Weight Classes: 40, 43, 46, 50, 55, 62, 68, 74, 85 lbs.

16U Girls - Weight Classes: 95, 100, 105, 110, 115, 120, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, 155, 170, 190, 207, 235 lbs.

Junior Girls (Must be in High School) - Weight Classes - 95, 100, 105, 110, 115, 120, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, 155, 170, 190, 207, 235 lbs.

• High School Girls weight classes are listed but subject to change depending on registration to maximize athletes’ opportunity to wrestle. 

Age: Born 9/1/2005 & after (plus enrolled in grades 9-12) 

Time Periods - Championship: 3 two-minute periods; Consolation: 1 one-minute and 2 two minute periods

USA Junior Age Group:

Athletes shall be considered eligible to compete in USA Junior Division competitions if he/she meets the following criteria:

• Are only wrestlers born September 1, 2005 & after who were enrolled in grades 9-12 during the 2024 spring semester are eligible.
  • No wrestler who was enrolled in 8th grade during the 2024 spring semester will be allowed to enter. Any such wrestler who enters or competes will be penalized by forfeiting his/her eligibility in the next year’s event in both styles.
• Are currently attending high school or participating in a program considered by the State’s Department of Education to be fulfilling the athlete’s requirements for graduation from an accredited high school program.
• If the event takes place during the summer, athletes shall be considered eligible to compete in the Junior Division if he/she attended high school or participated in a program considered by the State’s Department of Education to be fulfilling the athlete’s requirements for graduation from an accredited high school program the Spring semester just prior to the summer event.
  • In addition, the athlete has only four consecutive years to compete in the Junior Division once his/her class begins the ninth grade.

Update Club Name or Weight Change Instructions:

1. Log back into usawmembership.com

2. Click “Manage” on the top.

3. Click “Event Registration”

4. Select the event you would like to update your weight class or club name.

In order to change club, the club must be listed as a primary club in the athlete’s profile. This will be found under affiliations.

USA Wrestling Event Refund Policy: Your USA Wrestling event purchase through the USA Wrestling membership system (tournament entry, coaches pass, tickets, etc.) is non-refundable. Any cancelation that takes place after purchase, or after the event has been passed, will not be refunded. By completing this event purchase, you understand that all purchases are non-refundable for whatever reason.
