USA Wrestling is excited to announce the 2022 Southern Plains Regional Championships will take place at Kansas Star Events Center on June 3rd-5th.The Southern Plains Regional Championships will feature Freestyle, Greco-Roman and Women's Freestyle wrestling for age divisions 8U - Junior.

Southern Plains Regional offers athletes in 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U & Juniors a chance to compete against some of the best wrestlers in the country.  The Southern Plains Regionals offers both men and women an opportunity to compete in Freestyle and Greco-Roman styles.  This event is a great preparation for both Kids Nationals and 16U/Junior National Championships.

Please reach out to your state chairperson on how to qualify for their state's 51st Annual USA Wrestling Junior & 16U National Championships (July 15-22, 2022) teams.

Weight at Kids Nationals

At Kids Nationals, provided a wrestler has qualified for Kids Nationals or been granted a waiver to compete, he/she may not compete lower than the lowest weight weighed in at any regional, minus one weight class.

Eligibility at Kids Nationals

In order to be eligible for Kids Nationals, one must compete in any regional or obtain a waiver to compete from his/her state chairperson.
