USA Wrestling is excited to announce that the 2021 USAW Brian Keck Memorial Preseason Nationals will return to Hyvee Hall in Des Moines, IA on Oct. 29th - Oct 31st. 

Brian Keck tragically passed away at the age 48 during a trip to Mexico in November, 2019. Keck worked with USA Wrestling to found the Preseason Nationals in 2008, a major early season national folkstyle wrestling event for athletes of all ages. The first event was held in Des Moines, then spent nine years in Cedar Falls, Iowa, before returning to Des Moines in 2018. During its 12 years with Keck’s involvement, the competition grew in size and prestige.

The event will be conducted following the requirements of the state and local health authorities, as well as using the safety provisions of the USA Wrestling Return to Events Guidelines. USA Wrestling and the local organizers will monitor data and local trends closely leading up to the event.

COACHES AND ATHLETES PLEASE BRING A COPY OF YOUR USAW MEMBERSHIP CARD WITH YOU TO THE EVENT. EVERY COACH AND ATHLETE WILL NEED TO BE BAR CODE SCANNED IN TO THE EVENT. 

Registration Caps for 2021*: 

11th-12th grade boys: 725 - SOLDOUT

9th-10th grade boys: 725 - 
7th-8th and 5th-6th grade boys: 725 
3rd-4th grade boys and 9th-12th grade girls: 425 

1st - 2nd grade boys and 1st-8th grade girls: 425 

* based off schedule, so no more than 725 wrestlers are actively competing at one time. 

This event has sold out in previous years, so do not wait to register. USA Wrestling does not charge for adjusting weight classes, even at weigh-ins, so sign up early to guarantee your spot in the event.
