This event uses double elimination line bracketing with wrestle backs for True 2nd. 

There is no seeding for this event, draw numbers are assigned randomly by the computer. However, this event will be separated by the following criteria: 

Level 1: Previous year All-American (1-8) place winners who are returning in the same age division and the same style.
Level 2: Current year Regional Champions for each age division and style.
Level 3: Wrestlers from the same state will be separated.

See page 77 - 79 of the USAW Rule Book for complete details on Kids Nationals separation.  Verify the separation level listed on the weigh-in card when you register.

Brackets with five (5) or less will use a round robin system. Brackets with six (6) or more will use line bracketing.

In cases where USA Wrestling offers the same age and style regional*/national championships for both genders, female athletes shall only be eligible for competition in the female tournament.

*= A festival held at a regional championships does not meet criteria.

BRACKET CHANGES WILL BE MADE UP UNTIL 1 HOUR PRIOR TO THE START OF THE WRESTLING SESSION.  Please contact the tournament director with any issues (ie: wrestler missing from bracket or incorrect weight) by email at least 2 HOURS PRIOR to the start of the wrestling session or please come to the headtable as soon as you arrive on-site.
