Tournaments Overview: The Forest Lake Freestyle/Greco Tournament will be held across two days as two separate events. All participants have the option of registering for both styles or one or the other for this tournament. See below for details. 

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

GRECO TOURNAMENT - FRIDAY, APRIL 17, 2026 (evening)

• Arrival: Enter through the Athletic Entrance (Door #33) DOORS WILL OPEN AT 4:45 PM. 
• Check In: 5:00 PM. – 6:15 PM.
• Wrestling Start: 6:30 PM. – Completion (Approximate completion time will be 9:30 PM, depending on registrations numbers)

FREESTYLE TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE - SATURDAY, APRIL 18, 2026 (morning)

• Arrival: Enter through the Fieldhouse door #33 DOORS WILL OPEN AT 7:30 AM.
• Session 1  - For age groups 16U (2010-2011 birth years) & Junior (9th-12th grade born after 9/1/06)
  • Session 1 - Check-In* & Weight Audits: 7:50am - 8:20am
  • Session 2 - Wrestling: 8:30 AM. – Completion
• Session 2 - For age groups 6U (2020-2022) & 8U (2018-2019) & 10U (2016-2017) 12U, (2014-2015) & 14U (2012-2013)
  • Session 2 - Check-In* & Weight Audits: 11:30 AM. – 11:50 AM. 
  • Session 2 Wrestling: 12:00 PM – Completion (Approximate completion time for Session 1 will be 12:00 PM, each session should run appoximately 3.5 hours depending on registrations)
• *NOTE: All wrestlers MUST check-in as they enter the building, even if they are wrestling in a later session

Registration: All participants have the option of registering for both styles OR if they'd like to register for just 1 of each tournament.

• A current USAW card is needed to register and participate at the tournament.
• Pre-register with the link above. No on-site registration will be permitted.
• Entry Fee: $20 per Style or $40 for both styles (NO REFUNDS)
• Registration closes Friday, April 17th, 2026 @ 12:00 pm CST for Greco tournament. 
• Registration closes Friday, April 17th, 2026 @ 8pm CST for the Freestyle Tournament.
• There are no limits for the registered wrestlers or spectators allowed in each session.

Eligibility/Membership: All participants to register must have a USAW Athlete Membership. Open to all wrestlers across any state with a USAW card. No limited athlete memberships are allowed or single event memberships. 

Divisions: 6U (2020-2022) & 8U (2018-2019) & 10U (2016-2017) 12U, (2014-2015) & 14U (2012-2013), 16U (2010-2011), Juniors (Grades 9th -12th born after 9/1/06). 

Weigh-Ins – Weigh Audits

• We will not be doing a full-blown on-site weigh-in of every wrestler.
• We will use the weight that the parents signed their wrestler up at during registration to pre-build all the brackets. We are using the “Honor System” with parents to correctly select their wrestlers’ weight class.
• We will be doing random weight audits of several brackets each session.
• During check-in, selected wrestlers will be sent over to weight audit. Their weight needs to be within 3% of whatever weight their parents pre-registered them at. For example, if the parent pre-registered their wrestler at 50 lbs., their wrestler can weigh no more than 51.5 lbs.
• If a wrestler is over-weight, the parent and wrestler must report to the head table immediately. The wrestler will then be removed from the tournament and no refund will be given.

Tournament/Bracketing:

• Our hope is that everyone will get as many matches as possible. Wrestlers will be grouped into Round Robins and brackets based on age and experience.
• All bracketing and tournament results/mat assignments will be run via usabracketing.com.

Admission

• Admission is $10 per person. We will be accepting cash and Venmo payments at the admissions table.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: If registered, but your wrestler decides not to wrestle in the tournament, please call the tournament director, Ashleigh Kolbow (amkolbow@gmail.com) so we are not waiting for your wrestler to start the session
