Annual Warwick PAL - RIWA Youth Wrestling Tournament

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2026

Registration Info 

Absolutely NO walk in registrations (except mighty mites). All registration MUST be completed by 10PM the night before the scheduled event.

Mighty Mites are in person registration at the venue, please arrive by 8:00 AM. Fee is $10 CASH

****Coaches****

As of January 1st, 2026, new RIWA rules state that all RI coaches must maintain an ACTIVE USAW Wrestling Leadership and have at least completed the COPPER coaching certification in order to coach during ANY RI tournaments. Wristbands will be provided to all coaches that show their coaches card with the proper certification at the tournament entry.

Out of state coaches are excluded from this rule but must still provide a hard copy of their ACTIVE wrestling leadership card. 

Entry Fee will NOT be waived unless the proper cards are provided upon entry. No coach will be allowed on the mats without a VISIBLE wristband. If the wristband is not visible, you may be asked to leave the mat and a risk forfeiting the current match.

Parking: 

Lot 1 - Enter via Fletcher Rd or main entrance at 2401 West Shore Rd. Warwick, RI 02889 (You may enter through the gymnasium entrance) 

Lot 2 - Turn onto Albert Rd (off West Shore Rd.) and parking lot entrance is on the left at end of street (You may enter the school through the south end doors) 

Weigh In 

All wrestlers must weigh-in wearing competition singlets or shorts at RIWA events. Absolutely NO Parents in weigh in line. 

No personal items such as backpacks or sneakers at scales. 

Skin check / grooming check prior to being allowed to weigh-in 

Reminder to trim fingernails before you step on scales. 

Weigh-ins times published below by division and tournament

Age Groups & Times 

8U Boys, 10U Boys, 12U Girls, and 15U Girls Divisions 

Weigh-ins - 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM 

Wrestling Starts at 9:00 AM 

12U Boys, 15U Boys, 8U Girls, and 10U Girls Divisions 

Weigh-ins - 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM 

Wrestling Starts at 12:30 PM 

Awards 

Once brackets are closed, awards are available from 1st - 3rd, team awards for AM and PM.

Concessions 

Several vendors and a concession booth will be available (cash/credit/venmo), including but not limited to: 

Del’s Frozen Lemonade 

Hot Dogs 

Walking Tacos 

Pizza 

Meatball Subs 

Snacks 

Beverages 

Apparel 

T-shirts, sweatshirts, wrestling gear will also be available for purchase
