Mat Cats 2026 Registration

Mat Cats is utilizing the USA Wrestling site to collect our annual club fees. All fees will be paid through the USA Wrestling site.

STEP 1

1. Either login to your USA Wrestling account or create a new account, click here.
2. Purchase the Limited Folk Style Athlete membership for your wrestler(s).
   • Navigate to your Profiles page, all of your wrestlers should be listed.
   • Click the Manage Profile button for one of your wrestlers.
   • Click Get Memberships.
   • Within the Athlete section click, Purchase/Renew.
   • Within the 'Available Memberships' drop down select $20 Athlete - Limited Folkstyle Athlete Membership.
   • If you have more than 1 wrestler repeat until each wrestler has a membership in your Cart.
   • Continue with transaction until the payment is complete.

STEP 2

• Click the Register Now button
  • K-6th Grade: $100
    • $10 discount for additional siblings living in same household, pick your payment amount at checkout for each wrestler
  • 7th-8th Graders wrestling for EJHS: $45
    • These wrestlers are not anticipated at the Mat Cats pracitces because they are practicing with the EJHS coaching staff.
    • Mat Cats participation allows these wrestlers to attend the Saturday tournaments
    • Why? Extra mat time plus another chance at those JCMT  medals!
  • Be sure to register each of your wrestlers

STEP 3

• If attending tournaments a team singlet is require. Used singlets can be found within our GroupMe chat or a new one can be purchased in the team store.

• Team store closes on 1/23/2026

  • January 12, 19 and 26th - Older Age Groups Only
    • 4th - 5th grades, Mondays in January, 5:30pm - 6:30pm
    • 6th - 8th grades, Mondays in January, 6:40pm - 7:40pm
  • February - March
    • 4th - 8th grades, Monday & Wednesday, 5:45pm-6:45pm,
    • K - 1st grades, Tuesday & Thursday, 5:45pm-6:30pm
    • 2nd - 3rd grades, Tuesday & Thursday, 6:30pm-7:30pm
• Tournaments
  • The following details will be finalized in January during the annual coaches meeting
  • All tournaments are optional
  • Parents responsible for registering their wrestlers on USA Wrestling for each tournament they would like to attend
  • Tournament fees are typically $10 per wrestler
  • Typically held each Saturday in March starting 3/7/2026
  • Our club hopes to secure a Home tournament this season on or around 3/14/2026
  • Out of town tournaments are typically within 1-2 hours of Wenatchee
  • Jason Crawford Memorial Tournament (final and largest tournament) date not secured yet. Typically in Spokane on the first or second Saturday in April.

Tips for New Wrestlers

• Wear comfortable workout clothes that keep undergarments from view.
• Some wrestlers prefer to wear bike/volleyball shorts underneath basketball-type shorts.
• Sports bras are a great option when paired with a tank top or t-shirt, they should not be worn alone.
• Long hair should be held back in a pony or braids for the comfort of your wrestler as well as their partner.
• If you own wrestling shoes bring them, otherwise a clean pair of socks works great! (Shoes and Headgear will be required for all tournaments)
• Bring plenty of water.
