**Double Points Qualifier Tournament**

Arrival: Parking available at Canby High School Parking Lot

Registration: This tournament will be PRE-REGISTRATION ONLY, with registration closing the night before the event. The registration deadline will be 1/31/26 @ 8pm via usabracketing.com. NO SAME DAY REGISTRATION. Registration cost is $20 via pre-registration online only. During registration, it is highly recommended to enter a weight that your wrestler will be comfortably no more than 3% above.

Weigh-Ins: Instead of full weigh-ins, MN/USA events include random weight audits at a selection of weights per session (essentially a partial “Honor System”). During registration, parents will enter the weight of their wrestler during registrationto, so as not exceed 3% above the weight entered on tournament day (if weight audited). During check-in, selected wrestlers will be sent over to weight audit. Their weight needs to be within 3% of whatever weight their parents pre-registered them at. For example, if the parent pre-registered their wrestler at 50lbs, their wrestler can weigh no more than 51.5lbs. If a wrestler is over-weight, the parent and wrestler must report to the head table immediately. The wrestler could be removed from the tournament and possibly no refund will be given. 

Check-Ins: Please check your wrestler in when they arrive at the event. You do not need to wait until their check in time.

Membership, Divisions & Eligibility: Age divisions for all MN/USA events use the USAW 2 year birth year ranges, as follows: 6U = Birth Year 2020-2021, 8U = Birth Year 2018-2019, 10U = Birth Year 2016-2017, 12U = Birth Year 2014-2015, 14U = Birth Year 2012-2013. USAW memberships OR 1 Day/Singlet Event Membership is required to register. For the Canby MN/USA Qualifier, MN/USA is offering this 1 day / single event membership complimentary/benefit for FREE for this particular event. 

**Qualifier Divisions: Events with MN/USA "Qualifier" divisions feature 6U-14U co-ed brackets (both boys & girls can equally participate) with qualification points towards regional / state tournament qualification. All qualifier division participants will accumulate qualification points towards MN/USA Regional Tournaments (for the 10U and 12U divisions) and qualification points toward MN/USA State Tournament (for the 6U qualifier & 8U qualifier divisions. All 14U qualifier participants are auto-qualified to the MN/USA Regional tournaments, but can still acquire results to help improve PIN ratings for seeds at Regionals. The Canby qualifier features "Double Points" toward Region/State qualification, where the 1st-3rd place result values double (to 80, 40, and 20).  All results aid PIN ratings that will help influence seeding criteria at Regions/State as well. All participants in the qualifier division will also accumulate "REPS" points, with the top 10 in each age group (including results from freestyle/greco events) awarded at the MN/USA banquet (recognized in the Fall of 2026).

NOTE: South Dakota Wrestlers are welcome and encouraged to come! However, only MN participant residents (wrestlers with Minnesota addresses) can accrue qualification points for the MN/USA Regionals and State events. However, participants from all state (SD, IA, etc) can participate in this event...just no qualification points will be acquired as only MN resident participants can participate in MN/USA Regions and State Tournament events.

Format: Scratch weight. 4-man round-robin brackets when possible.

Schedule: Modified schedule from normal MN/USA Qualifier events as follows:

• 6U, 8U & 10U Age Groups (see birth years above): Check In / Weight Audits: 10:30 - 11:30; Wrestling starts @ 12:00 
• 12U & 14U Age Groups (see birth years above): Check In / Weight Audits: 12:30 - 1:30; Wrestling starts @ 1:30

Admissions: Cash or check payments accepted. $5.00 for all Adults, $3 for STUDENTS, FREE for all 6 & Under. Coaches with current USAW Leader Membership are free (present card at the door).

Concessions: Available all day.
