***DOUBLE POINTS QUALIFIER & TAKE-A-SHOT (1 DAY TRIAL MEMBERSHIP) EVENT

Arrival: Parking lot and street parking is available. Doors will open at 7:30am.

Membership / Eligibility: This event allows wrestlers to register without an annual USAW membership through the a “Take-A-Shot” 1 Day membership initiative, at a cost of $10 (membership fee). Membership is incremental to registration fee and can be purchased through tournament registration. Wrestlers who already have a USAW membership are also eligible to register. Format: Scratch weight. 4-man round-robin brackets when possible.

Weigh-Ins / Weight Audits: We will NOT be doing a full-blown on-site weigh-in of every wrestler. We will use the weight that the parents signed their wrestler up at during registration to pre-build all the brackets. We are using the “Honor System” with parents to correctly select their wrestlers’ weight class. We will be doing random weight audits of several bracket each session. During check-in, selected wrestlers will be sent over to weight audit. Their weight needs to be within 3% of whatever weight their parents pre-registered them at. For example, if the parent pre-registered their wrestler at 50lbs, their wrestler can weigh no more than 51.5lbs. If a wrestler is over-weight, the parent and wrestler must report to the head table immediately. The wrestler will then be removed from the tournament and no refundwill be given.

Check-In Process: All wrestlers must check in when they arrive at the event - at any time - as you do not need to wait until their check in time. 

Schedule: Schedule will utilize MN/USA's 5 session schedule with SOME modifications to get started wrestling earlier (to allow for earlier finish for the Superbowl). Assuming tournament sessions finish on time per the above schedule, the goal of the event is to wrap up by 2:30-3pm.

• Session 1 - 8U Qualifier: Check-In 7:30-8:00am / Wrestling starts @ 8:15am
• Session 2 - 10U Qualifier: Check-In 8:45-9:15am / Wrestling starts @ 9:30am 
• Session 3 - 12U Qualifier: Check-In 9:30-10:00am / Wrestling starts @ 10:45am 
• Session 4 - 6U Qualifier / 14U Qualifier / Girls Only (all age groups): Check-In 11:15-11:45am / Wrestling starts @ 12:00pm
• Session 5 - Beginners Bash (all age Groups: Check-In 12:30-1:00pm / Wrestling starts 1:15pm

Divisions: Event will feature 6U/8U/10U/12U/14U age groups with 3 different division including Qualifier (co-ed), Girls & Beginners "Bash" (co-ed). Participants CAN double register if they'd like, so as long as each division does not conflict with competition during the same session. See the "Schedule" tab for when your wrestler's age group & division will begin to properly time your arrival. of each division and the "Division" tab for more info on each. Registration Cost: $20 Entry Fee (wrestlers) and all registration will be done online via pre-registration process only. Pre-registration is mandatory through USA Bracketing (link below). A current MN/USA card or 1 day membership (for Girls or Beginner division) is needed to register and participate at the tournament. No walk-up/same day registration allowed. During registration, it is highly recommended to enter a weight that your wrestler will be comfortably no more than 3% above. See pre-registration instructions on the Registration tab. Registration deadline will be 2/7 @ 8pm, no exceptions. Plan ahead so you don't miss the deadline! NO REFUNDS if you do not compete at the tournament for any reason).

Admissions: Admissions: $7 General Admission. Coaches entry are also free, but must present a current USAW Leader Membership card.
