USA Wrestling is excited to announce its annual Kids National Championships is heading to Iowa. The 2024 Kids Nationals will be held at the ImOn Arena in Cedar Rapids, Iowa June 27-30, 2024. Kids Nationals host the nation's top wrestlers from ages 7 to 14 in the international styles of freestyle and Greco-Roman. 

The 2024 Kids Nationals will feature the 2nd and 3rd leg of USA Wrestling's prestigious Triple Crown, which is awarded to any wrestler who wins USA Wrestling folkstyle, freestyle and Greco-Roman national titles in the same year. 
 

COACHES AND ATHLETES PLEASE BRING A COPY OF YOUR USAW MEMBERSHIP CARD WITH YOU TO THE EVENT. 

This event will feature Freestyle (Boys Only) and Greco-Roman wrestling only

• Girls are only eligible to compete in greco-roman style, there is no freestyle offered for girls at this event. The girls divisions will be combined with the boys divisions for greco-roman.

Eligibility at Kid’s Nationals:

• To be eligible for Kid’s Nationals, one must compete in any regional or obtain a waiver to compete from his/her state chairperson.
• Additionally, each athlete must meet the age group requirements (see Divisions tab) and have the proper USA Wrestling membership (see below). 
• The 2023-2024 Membership Year begins August 21, 2023 and goes through August 31, 2024. 
• This event will feature Freestyle (Boys Only) and Greco-Roman wrestling only

Weight at Kid’s Nationals:

• At Kid’s Nationals, provided a wrestler has qualified for Kid’s Nationals or been granted a waiver to compete, he/she may not compete lower than the lowest weight weighed in at any regional, minus one weight class.

ALL WAIVERS FOR WEIGHT CLASS AND COMPETING MUST BE PROVIDED BY STATE CHAIRPERSON BY JUNE 24TH. 

Approved as of the 2023 USA Wrestling Board of Director’s National Convention: 

• Participation at Regional & National Championships When both regional and/or national championships are offered to both genders in the same style(s) in 14U and below, wrestlers shall only be allowed to compete in the division of his/her gender.
