Middle School State Qualifier

 

ENTRY FEE: $20.00 per athlete (Paid when you register online)

SPECTATOR FEE: $10.00 (Cash only at door)

 

 ELIGIBILITY

This tournament is open to any wrestler enrolled in a public or private school in the state of Indiana, 5th - 8th grade. 

Athletes in a home school program must provide verification.

The athletes cannot be 16 before January 22, 2024.

 

TOP 4 IN EACH WEIGHT CLASS OF THIS TOURNAMENT WILL QUALIFY FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIPS ON SUNDAY 2/4/24 AT CENTER GROVE HIGH SCHOOL.

PLACEMENTS FROM EACH QUALIFIER WILL BE SEEDED USING THE USAW PIN RANKINGS.

 

USA Wrestling Competitor Cards

  •  Each wrestler must have a valid USAW Card

  •  USAW cards will not be sold on site

  •  Cards may be purchased at: www.usawmembership.com

  •  No registration will occur on-site or by mail

  •  Payment required at the time you register (No Refunds)

  •  Late entries will not be accepted

Girls Weight Classes

 65 – 72 – 80 – 87  – 95 – 102 – 109 – 117 – 125  – 135  –  145 – 165

 

  •  You must weigh in on-site using a competition singlet

  • On site weigh ins only

  • Athletes must have a copy of their USAW card with them to weigh in

  • SCRATCH WEIGHTS WILL BE USED AND ENFORCED.

  • YOU CAN MOVE UP IF YOU MISS WEIGHT.  

  • IF YOU QUALIFY, YOU MUST WRESTLE IN THE SAME WEIGHT CLASS & MAKE SCRATCH WEIGHT FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIPS ON 2/4/24 (OR EARLY WEIGH INS ON 2/3/24)

Awards

  •  Top 4 in each weight class qualify for the State Championship Tournament on Sunday 2/4/24 at Center Grove High School. The Championship Tournament will be seeded according to USA Wrestling PIN rankings. Top 4 placers are NOT eligible to compete in another qualifier. Athletes who place 5th and below may compete in another qualifier.  

  •  Matches will consist of three periods: 1:00 – 1:30 – 1:30 min
